12:45 – 1:00 pm Registration

1:00 – 2:00pm Cody Baciuska will present information on the Identification, life cycle and habits of the Canada goose.  He will also present information on how to legally remove, eliminate or otherwise control these birds on the property. 

2:00 – 3:00 pm David Chinery will present information on the identification and management control options of the European Crane Fly; Impatiens Downy Mildew disease and the new weed control product Fiesta. 

3:00 – 4:00pm Chuck Schmitt will present information on the identification and control of Boxwood Blight; Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and the herbicide Fiesta.

4:00pm evaluation and DEC certificate distribution.

DEC Certificates will be distributed at the end of the program to those who singed in on the DEC rooster and sat for the 3 hour course.

2013 Airports Conference - This conference is sponsored by The Pennsylvania State University and is designed for government officials, airport owners/management, consultants, contractors, and material testing laboratories personnel.

Conference Program

The conference provides the latest information on airport programs and policies as well as practical experience by airport management, consultants, and others in the airport industry.

The topics that will be presented at the conference include airport planning, design, finance, management, safety, environmental issues, engineering, and field lighting. The purpose is to provide leadership in planning and developing a safe and efficient regional airport system to satisfy the needs of our aviation interests, with due consideration for economics, environmental compatibility, local property rights, and safeguarding the public investment.
